RECENT NEWS:

7/15/10...

I have just added a section for scripting in the forums by request.

5/30/10...

There have been several updates on the site in the past few months, I just have not been posting them here. One you might have noticed is the Store section. There you will be able to browse any hardware we have for sale. (funding the website) I have a pretty huge inventory of computer parts and supplies. (ram, floppy and cd drives, atari/gameboy games, all kinds of controllers, game systems, etc) You should now find a section in the downloads for just basic. There is a new game called Even-1-Out and I will soon release a Blackjack game. Try it out! Future plans for the site include releasing monthly magazines/articles that our users can contribute to. We will also probably work on making tutorial videos for various subjects. The main thing we plan on doing is buying a domain name (geekbasic.com) and putting it on our own server. The website may seem like it is going kind of slow (especially updates), but that is mostly because of school. I am very happy to see that people are actually coming to our forum for help. We have a lot planned for this site (or might I soon be bold enough to say: company) so stay tuned!!

2/7/10...

Recently, there has been a fairly decent amount of activity on the Geek Basic Forums. I am now proud to say: We have have reached 100 posts!!!

12/30/09...

I have spent the past few days developing a new program called DREAM16 OS. It is a mouse driven GUI shell for MS-DOS! You can find it under Qbasic in the downloads.

12/27/09...

I have added some pictures and fixed a few tiny errors throughout the site in an attempt to make it less of an eye-sore. I hope you like it! Also, please remember to post any suggestions or feature requests in the forums.

12/26/09...

Yet again, more additions to the download section! I was working on a Qbasic web browser earlier this year and released it elsewhere, but I have now added to the selection of software. I also just added a TINY BASIC interpreter which I just made because I was bored. Also, remember to check out the link section, you may find it useful!

12/13/09...

Added some new links to the link section as well as removing some old ones that no longer work.

12/9/09...

Just made a quick fix to the sign up link in the forums, I put the wrong link there and people were unable to sign up.

11/29/09...

I have recieved some emails telling me that my forum was not allowing people to sign up! This is a real problem. So, I removed the old forum program and put a new one in that is much better than the last. The problem now is that all the old posts and user accounts are gone... So I am now trying to get some new and old users to join this forum. Please support the site by joining and posting something!

11/19/09...

Recently, a lot of time has been put in to the development of the PROSEED interpreter. As of 10/29/09, Macselent Corporation (can be found at: http://mccorp.orgfree.com/) has been working hard along side Geek Basic Software to develop PROSEED. There are now two IDEs available in the package, as well as some new updates that over time will make it a fully functional and useable language. We are working hard to make this project worth while, wish us luck!

11/17/09...

There are some new additions to the download section. This includes an area for Blitz Basic programs. I also released a project that I created to make Gameboy programming easier for me and other people who do not know C ar assembly very well.

11/5/09...

I am making some updates to the website layout. New content includes a page dedicated to a simple QBASIC chatroom and a section for assembly language in the downloads.

11/1/09...

I added some Just Basic programs to the downloads. They were created by my friend who is a newbie.

10/28/09...

The downloads page has too little content and is in need of an update, so I added some new Atari 2600 roms made in Batari Basic! I have also released my new programming language: PROSEED. Download it in the QBASIC section. I also removed some old useless files.
